Gareth commenced practice as a barrister in 2010. Prior to this he spent three years in advisory roles at the New Zealand Parliament.

Gareth has experience assisting senior counsel with commercial litigation and advice, defence of criminal and regulatory prosecutions, matters before commissions of inquiry and public and administrative law matters. He can be instructed by solicitors directly or is available to provide assistance to senior counsel.

Gareth attended Victoria University of Wellington where he obtained degrees in law and arts (political science and public policy). While at Victoria he was employed as a research assistant and tutored public law. He also summer clerked at a large commercial law firm.
